Cardiovascular disease is a general term used to describe a range of disorders that affect the heart. It is a class of diseases that involves heart and blood vessels. The most common cardiovascular disease is coronary artery disease (narrow or blocked coronary arteries), which can lead to chest pain, heart attacks, or stroke.
