He received his Medical Degree from College of Medicine, Baghdad University in Iraq and performed his residency clinical training in Medical City Teaching Centre, Iraq. Then, he further specialized and joined the Arab Board for medical specialization and was awarded a certificate of the Arab Board in General Surgery in Medical City Teaching Centre, Baghdad, Iraq. He has accomplished the certification for being the surgeon of excellence of Burjeel’s Center of Excellence in Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery in June 2018 from European Accreditation Council for Bariatric Surgery (EAC-BS). He has been awarded the title of Master Surgeon in Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery in September 2018 from Surgical Review Corporation (SRC).
